Shrinkage, Creep, and Crack Development in Concrete Materials – The phenomena of micro-structure affecting the durability of existing structures
(person responsible: Barbara Kucharczyková)
The topic aims to investigate the causes and consequences of shrinkage and creep in concrete of different compositions, including those containing alternative binders. Micro and macro-observations are linked together to gain as deep as possible insight into the processes behind the phenomena. The team consists of experts from different branches, starting with chemistry, mixture design, testing, and structural design. The research is mainly experimental and gathers data for numerical analysis.
